Meet the dobermans!
Elegant, intelligent, and devoted, the Doberman is both a loyal family companion and a standout in the show ring. Known for their protective yet affectionate nature, they thrive when given purpose, training, and time with their people. Dobermans love exercise, mental challenges, and close companionship — but dislike boredom and being left alone. With their striking appearance, sharp mind, and deep loyalty, they are as beautiful to live with as they are to watch in competition.

THE MALES
Male Dobermans are confident, bold, and full of presence. They often have a strong protective instinct and carry themselves with a proud, commanding stance. While they can be playful and affectionate with their families, they thrive with consistent leadership and clear boundaries. In the show ring, their power and stature make them truly unforgettable.
THE FEMALES
Female Dobermans are intelligent, alert, and often a bit more independent than their male counterparts. They tend to mature quickly and may show a sharper focus in training. While still affectionate and loyal, females often balance their protective nature with a graceful elegance, making them exceptional companions and fierce competitors in the ring.
Cropping & Docking

At Stonewood, we believe in making informed, responsible decisions regarding ear cropping and tail docking. Ear cropping is a surgical procedure where a portion of a dog’s ears is reshaped to stand erect, while tail docking involves shortening the tail to a breed-standard length. These procedures are traditionally done in Dobermans and Miniature Pinschers, often for show purposes or to maintain the breed’s classic appearance. Typically, tail docking is performed when puppies are 2–5 days old, while ear cropping is usually done between 8–12 weeks of age.
We always prioritize the health, comfort, and well-being of our dogs above aesthetics. Every procedure is performed by a qualified professional under safe, sterile conditions, with proper pain management and care during recovery. We carefully consider each dog’s individual needs, temperament, and lifestyle, and we provide thorough guidance to new owners on post-procedure care. Our approach ensures that any cosmetic procedures are carried out responsibly, ethically, and with the dog’s best interest at heart.
